I have been lazy with my blog, work has been too busy! I am glad to have breather now, and can hardly wait to catch up with some posting. Having said that, I have been busy uploading photos onto my Instagram account, yet it feels different to put words next to some pretty pictures.
Much motivated by the ladies at the Aussie FB nailart group and the Australian
Indie Polish Appreciation Society (more info here), I put on my untried Australian Indie polishes and tried freehanding some vintage rose. The polishes I used are Mckfresh’s Splice of Life
and Wild Flowers Bloom from their Spring Dreaming collection (for Mckfresh's Etsy shop, click here, and more photos on Mckfresh's FB page, click here).
Wild Flowers Bloom is a pretty peony
pink cremelly base with Kate’s signature mix of multi-sized circle and square
metallic and matte glitters in gold, pale pink, orange, purple and lavender.
The big pale pink circles require some fishing but I preferred it spares
anyway. This polish lives up to its expectation as ’the patches of
Storm flowers and other wildflowers which begin to bloom and show their colours
as Spring progresses’.
Splice of Life amazes me! This light
lemony pastel crème has lovely iridescent glass flecks in aqua, pink and
orange. It will be one of my favorite summer polish and base for nailart. Based
on the pineapple-lime tropical favor ice cream block Splice and Lemon Meringue Pie – this polish is finger-licking delicious!
I can’t resist taking a photo with the Vintage/Garden Bouquet from Botanic Florist (Link here). Steve the owner is very lovely in making sure the flowers reached me before my early day off to celebrate my hubby’s career highlight in achieving a PhD! Botanic Florist is based in Sydney CBD, delivery within 10km radius is free and same day if ordered by midday. The shop prides itself as not just a florist but also a horticulturist. The bouquet is beautifully arranged and matched to give beautiful spring fragrant! I will sure try to find my next excuse to purchase very soon ;)
My hubby has brought home a bottle of very rare yet-to-release Barossa Valley Shiraz and a hand-made crystal stone cake to celebrate the occasion. Isn’t life wonderful!
Mmmm that cake looks amazing!
