Pastel Saran Wrap/ Watercolour with Jenna Hipp & Tutorial

Sydney is getting warm – spring has arrived and summer is just around the corner! What’s better than getting your pastel polishes out to try some nail art?

Using the Jenna Hipp pack (see my previous post here), I attempted my first Saran Wrap manicure. It is very easy to do, just 3 main steps:
1) Paint a base colour – I used Hashtag (peach). A quick dry polish is recommended.

2) Using a thin plastic film - Glad Wrap/ cling wrap/ cling film/ food wrap – any of the above terms for the same food sealing clear plastic film – drop on it a small drop of the second polish. Dab excess polish onto another piece of plastic film, I used punch folder sleeves. Then, gently press the polish coated film onto the nails (onto dried base colour). Rule of thumb is to apply lighter colour first follower by darker or more opaque. I dabbed the pastel yellow (Tweet Me) onto all nails, followed by green (Freshmaker), and then the pink (Damage Control). Don’t be afraid to retouch with different colours where you see fit.

3) Once polish on nails is dry to touch, smooth the design with a succulent layer of topcoat.

Not too shabby isn’t it? Enjoy your Sarah Wrap mani and have a great weekend! Xx Ann
