Jelly Gradient with Loki's Rainbow Collection

Have you ever think jelly polishes are lovely in bottles but probably not be opaque enough to cover VNL? I think jelly polishes are awesome for nail arts, such as for layering, making glitter polish sandwiching and 3D stamping! With limited time, I went for the easiest nail art technique to try out Loki’s Lacquer’s latest yummy jelly polishes - Mah na Mah na...(do dooo do do do) and Wocka Wocka. These cuties are from Loki's Rainbow Connection Collection inspired by the Muppet Show. Both are beautiful jelly polishes with fine holography and platinum silver flakies. They are very easy to apply and self-leveled. I reckon top coat is not necessary If it wasn't to merge the two colours for a gradient.

For the jelly gradient, I simply put two coats of one polish on the top 2/3 of each nail, and the other polish on the bottom 1/3 (VNL). On hindsight, I rushed, otherwise 3 coats would have been perfect (see patchy pinky).

Then Mr 5-year old helped to take this photo when we were at the spa. I wanted to test out how underwater photography can bring out a polish’s holo-ness … not something my hubby should know since it was taken with my smartphone. Happy Friday!  xx Ann
