Pretty Serious Generally Hazzardous and 88mph Review & Swatch

I pre-ordered two Pretty Serious Cosmetics' "Hit the Road" polish with my nail polish buddies (thanks Cassie of of Reluctant Femme). The official launch date is 27th June 8:30am Sydney time (AEST). Not a great fan of cars but huge fan of Pretty Serious, I bought Generally Hazzardous and 88 mph, and they are amazing! Hopefully this little sneak preview will help you picking which Pretty Serious polish to buy. My advice? Buy them all if you can! Of note, Pretty Serious is also releasing a Limited Edition polish with high chance of becoming HTF/VHTF, more on that later.

Generally Hazzardous - a tribute to the General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzards (click  here for the story behind). Generally Hazzardous is a gorgeous orange with golden shimmer that's going to catch anyone's attention over Daisy Duke's very short shorts! With a hint of coral, this is the polish to go for if you're an orange lover! The formula is classic Pretty Serious, on the thick size but perfect for application, no streaking. Opaque in two coats, shown here with top coat.

88 mph - inspired by the Back to future's DeLorean time machine. 88 mph is a stunning   dusty charcoal with a hint of gold, with tons of colourful holographic sparksI am in awe with this one, especially the tiny bit of neon purple that shown up in photograph. The finish is gritty without top coat, so you can consider it texture if you may (which I like!), or smooth it with two layers of top coats. Similar to Daphne's birthday, 88 mph is glitter rich, so I used Picture Polish's Revolution as basecoat just to be on the safe size, even though I use DIY acetone/glycein remover anyway. The formula is again bit dense. I love that it's a one coater glitter polish (applied 2 coats here, just to be safe for girls who hate VNL). However, depending on your skill and top coat, 88 mph may chip easily. I love this sparkly lovely! See Ben's post for the story behind the "Hit the Road" collection if you need to convince your man to buy the whole collection!

Now, another important piece of info you need to know: Pretty Serious is releasing 100 bottles of Naughty Night Shift Nurse (Kristy's Swatch here) on 27 June 9am Sydney time, click here for your time zone conversion. NNSN was a custom one-off birthday polish for Kristy of The Polish Haven. We all drool over her swatch and she is so very kind to make it available to public. NNSN is a straightly limited edition! If you haven't had any Pretty Serious polish, now is THE time, what're you waiting for??
