Fishtail - Aussie Nails Monday 14th Jan

My first Aussie Nails Monday (ANM) nail art, Hooray! Today's theme is fishtail. There is many different versions of fishtail mani and I was tempted to freehand some cute fishes. After some testings, I decided on fishtail plait/braid mani using three nail polishes and a special top coat: 

I put one coat of Essence Grumpy (blue jelly) as base, which is not opaque but the 'braid' layering will make the mani opaque eventually anyway and I don't want extra thickness. Then I brush on Revlon Ice (metallic blue-silver, from the Ice-Queen crackle Nail Art polish) and Zoya Raven (black cream) diagonally, followed by Grumpy, two strokes for each polish onto the base. Finally, I dabbed some holographic glitters onto the metallic parts to imitate the metallic iridescent sheen of fish with Essence Prince Charming special effect topper (Snow White collection). Top coated with Dazzle Dry (one coat).
