For Natalsie of Cats-in-nails (http://cats-n-nails.blogspot.com.au), I did my first ever water marble. She is a huge advocate of nail art and a proud owner of two lovely cats Nikolai (blue-grey) and Cat (black-white).
Base polish – L’Oreal Color Riche 604 Metropolitan – a grey creme
Water marble polishes: as many of you already know, not many polish/brands work with water marble, I’d love to hear a chemist’s point of view as to why. I used OPI Skull & Glossbone and China Glaze Hook And Line
- Kitty – Pretty Serious’ The Pink One using a art craft punch (see previous post for how)
For Kierra of "Look what the bats dragged in" http://www.lookwhatthebatsdraggedin.com/p/about-contact.html. Kierra is a very trendy photographer who love all things bats, skulls
and cat, I did a mix a match mani with following details:
Base polish; Illamasqua Baptiste – such a gorgeous dark
purple shimmer with maroon/purple/blue sparkles. Kierra is a Illamasqua lover
not without good reasons!
Thumb: decal skeleton hand and free-hand initial “K”, flame
with NufOh 58 Kierra kindly swapped at
the last SYD meetup =)
Index: a bit out of place in the whole scheme, but well –
Pretty Serious’ The Pink One with silver and gold nail foils on top, finished
with a kitty polish decal.
Middle: free-hand bat on flame
Ring: tape manicure with Ozotic 912 – love love love this
scatter holo, finished with a stud
Pinkie: glow-in-the-dark skull water decal
Illamasqua Baptiste is so stunning! I repainted leaving the
tape mani on the ring finger as accent few days after, Baptiste is totally
worth the retail price!
It is such joy doing these nail arts for my friends. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do. xx Ann
