I was on no-buy this February, surviving on my pre-exisiting polishes and back-ordered nail mails. Many thanks to Natalsie of cats-n-nails for instigating the no-buy, I reflected on my buying habit and resolved, from now on, to only buy quality polishes that are unique to my collection, mostly hand-made by traders who love their art and take pride in their creation. (Also because I'm a stingy mum saving for my children's education fund...)
Here in several separate posts, I am going to show you the polishes I since acquired from Australian indie polish brands I adore. Mostly, I wanted to draw your attention to the absolute devotion these brands paid, apart from their stunning polishes, to their customer services, packaging and naming. After spending so much time browsing for swatches, reading blogs, waiting for the nail mail and suffering partner's nagging, you want a good buying experience that make it all worthwhile!
Pretty individually wrapped goodies! |
To start off, Tara's Loki's Lacquer! I have been lemming her Futurama inspired collection as well as the Gremlins, the Easter Limited Edition...Tara is a glitter witch ;) I need all her polishes! From Left to Right:
The Gremlins Trio:
Don't get them wet- navy blue shimmer with holographic glitter, topped with white, navy and blue iridescent glitter of various sizes
Do not feed them after midnight- "A glitter bomb topper. Almost like a gremlin has been squashed into a bottle! With brown, caramel, lime green, green, orange and holo red glitters, this is great to go over your other 2 colours or by itself!"
Don't put them near light- a yellow/gold scattered holo polish with a orange/red duochrome shift.
