Aussie Nails Monday 4Feb "Bright" - Chinese Opera Masks neon green mani

Aussie Nails Monday's theme today is "Bright". I am so in love with Cult Nails' Deal With It I have to use it again (see my previous post). On top of Deal with it, I layered Cult Nails' Hypnotize Me on top. Hypnotize Me is an "ice green sheer jelly, packed with vibrant blue and green glitter." It sparkles like mirror lake, truly mesmerising. The formula is on the thick side, few drops of polish thinner would definitely help.

I put Chinese opera mask water decals on top of the neon green mani, to add a bit of whoa. I remember making the actual masks using newspaper and balloons at primary school art class.
The colour of the mask/facial makeup symbolizes the disposition of the character. Generally, a red face represents loyalty and bravery; a black face, valor; yellow and white faces, duplicity; and golden and silver faces, mystery. And a green face tells the audience that the character is impulsive and violent and depicts surly stubbornness, impetuosity and a total lack of self-restraint. More on the masks here.
One of my wedding gift
I think it is an awesome mani, very in time for this year's Chinese New Year celebration starting 10thFeb celebrating the beginning of the year of Water Snake. I have a few Chinese New Year mani ideas, hopefully I get to paint my nails with all the busy celebrations in the coming week. xx Ann
