Aussie Nails Monday 25Feb Fav Brand - Waves

My perfect summer holiday in New Zealand is over and I'm slowing easing back to routine life. I couldn't stop day-dreaming the sound of ocean waves and the smell of sea spray. So on midnight Friday, I start painting my nails with waves. I am in love with my free-hand mani! It cheered me up instantly because it has been wet and raining in Sydney since we got back, simply cannot compared to the perfect breezy sunny summer in Auckland. I feel like a traitor doing an Aussie Nails Monday with my heart in NZ - cheeky Kiwis!

Making the mani more special, I used polishes from my favourite commercial brands butter London and Pretty Serious - my favourite Aussie indie polish (for a definition of indie, check out this post by Lacquerheads of Oz).

Background: Pretty Serious's Forbidden Fruit - my favourite nail-art "white", a "super glossy white jelly with delicate silver shimmer flecks"
Waves: butter London's Blagger - a cobalt blue creme with Lady Muck - a powdery periwinkle blue  shimmer, slightly grey and Bossy Boots - a light, opaque pistachio green creme as seaspray. Layered on top, Henley Regatta - green and blue glitter, like the Thames on a sunny day, a stunning glitter I put on anything water-related! I also layered a bit of Cirque's Galinda - a multi-sized pearl white iridescent glitter on top.
And the sun finally come out on Sunday, isn't it stunning? xx Ann
