Jenna Hipp @ Sydney Costco swatched!

If you are like me, a total sucker of beautifully marketed beauty products, you’d love Jenna Hipp “What is Hot Now” Nail collection. My hubby, in a once in blue moon moment, bought me this gorgeous 12-mini-polish pack at Costco on Friday - and of coz I have to document this rare occasion with photo evidence! ;)

It is a gorgeously polish pack which comes in a hard cardboard box. Because it has a silvery reflective backing, I prefer to use online marketing photo of the box instead of risk photographing myself as background. The pack comes with 

4 pastels: Damage Control (pink), Hashtag (peach/apricot), Tweet Me (lemon), Freshmaker (mint green); 

4 Jewel tones: Private Getaway (apple red), Look Hot Feel Cool (emerald green), I Can Afford It (purple shimmer), Room Service (cherry red); and 

4 Glitz & Glam, Hollywood Reporter (mix-sized hex and round holographic glitter topper), Awards Season (gold shimmer), Editor’s Pick (dark brown shimmer with fine gold glitters), and After Party (mix-sized hex and round pink glitters topper). The pack come with a trendy patterned nail file.

I don’t have the time to swatch them on nails, so a clear nail wheel for now. I like the cute mini curved bottles and the brush are normal size – which is great. The formula seems on the thin and streaky side – not uncommon with some 5-free formula I’ve tried so far - but a good top coat should remedy that. Have I mentioned the pack is only AUD$22? For the price of a bottle of butter London at retail you get 12 mini bottles of polishes of versatile shades and fashionable packaging, you can’t beat it (even it is made in PRC).

My favorites of the 12 are “I Can’t Afford It” and “Editor’s Pick”. The rest of the colours make good nail art combos. I think Jenna Hipp “What is Hot Now” Nail collection is an excellent Christmas gift option for girls who wants to stay ‘green’ and be fashionable with a sensible budget.  xx Ann
