Pretty Serious Cosmetics is celebrating their first birthday on 14th May. Their "Hello World" collection is my very first Australian indie polish and I have fallen in love with their polishes since. I have already bought my bottle of Daphne's Birthday (Daphne is PS's mascot, more celebration events and specials on their blog here), ready to celebrate on the day. And I thought swatching my Pretty Serious untries is the best pre-party.
Nightmaren belongs to their second collection "In the Night", inspired by the Saga video game Nights into Dreams. I am not familiar with the game, but "Nightmaren" refers to 'human-like creature that lives in dreams. Nightmaren can fly and do all sorts of acrobats"
The polish conveys the idea perfectly! A warm metal red with very fine golden shimmer. It feels warmly festive, yet with an elegant vampy edge - reminds me of Alice in Twilight. It's so gorgeous even my 'no-more-nail polish' hubby complimented it!

Nightmaren has the signature Pretty Serious formula - thick but smooth and opaque, not extreme quick dry which works to my advantage - giving me time to smooth out imperfect applications. Two coats to opacity.
Nightmaren complements my skin tone perfectly. It has moved right to the top of my 'empowering red polish' list!
