It is Monday and many of you would prefer a more muted but elegant manicure for work. Pale, nude, beige, neutral are also on the trend for Spring 2013. And this shimmery glittery nude mani is easy to do, pretty and different to the boring French tips.
And these are what I used to achieve this look - just applying several coats of polishes: base coat - butter London Horse Power, base polish - Pink Ribbon (very unassuming but essential to achieve even nude look, one of my favourite polish), Shimmering Snowcap "a glitter polish jam-packed full of various sizes and shapes of white glitter in a matte and satin finish, as well as iridescent squares which reflect green to orange", followed by a micro-shimmer-iridescent polish from Muji (a polish I bought for my wedding way back, that's how quality proved Muji is, not sure if they still sell polishes now), one coat of Essence gel-look and seal with one coat of a-england The Shield.
My tips are not perfectly white partly due to the coppery-orange glitters in Snowcap, but mostly I have a long distal edge vs nail bed ratio, and I didn't 'bleach' it with products. The finish is very natural (yellowness hardly noticeable) and I didn't bother cleaning up my cuticle/nail edge.
Wish you a lovely week!
Awesome nails! Also, I need that ring!
